What are cookies?
Cookies or browser cookies are small, encrypted files that are located in browser directories. They help users navigate websites efficiently to perform certain functions. Their role is to enhance/enable usability. Disabling cookies may prevent users from using certain websites.
They are created when a user’s browser loads a particular website. The website then sends information to the browser and creates a text file. Each time the user goes back to the same website the browser sends this file to the website’s server. Website browsing, ads, widgets and other elements on a website’s page also create cookies. The cookies regulate how ads appear or how widgets function on a page.
